Leaking sink in bathroom
Has anyone used bath seal to repair the sink in their van ? if so did it work ? Ours is leaking from the inside near the plug, the waste pipe seems to have pulled it away and the split is about 1" long. I don't want it to look like a bodge job (better keep
OH away from it !! ) Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Would it not be better to replace the split pipe?

Write your comments here...It's not the pipe Tinwheeler it's the actual sink in the showeroom, I seem to think the pipe has caused it by being to tight if that makes sence.

Dredging up facts / memories from the not --too distant past. There are at least two firms that claim to repair shower trays -- specifically splits caused by badly / inaccurately fitted plug-holes and pipes.
From what I recall the majority of splits are due to the pipe not being square on to the fitting and thus putting sideways pressure on what is, by its very nature a weak area. I will try to find more details but
it won't be for 10 days or so, alas.B

Bite the bullet, contact this company http://www.caravanpanels.com/ and have a fiberglass copy made and you will never have any more problems.
The problem is that most van bathroom furnature is made from thermo-formed plastic, this invoves heating up a sheet of plastic and stretching it over a mold, this can result in some very thin plastic that is bound to crack, in other words its a load of rubbish
to keep the profit up and the costs down.0 -
Yes Mike we have had to do the same OH has fitted a bracket underneath to take the weight of the sink and to stop it moving around while on the move, has worked so far but will make a note of the web site Doug has suggested just in case. Thank you everyone
