We want to leave our motorhome in a secure place in Spain while we fly home for Christmas. We will be home for about 2 months and then go back, pick up our motorhome and carry on. Has anyone done this please? Any advice would be most welcome as it will be a
new venture for us.

Spain is a big place. I'd be a little more specific if you want meaningful answers.

several campers we met in spain did this, find a guy local to the site, often they will drop you at the airport by arrangement.

from what ive heard, costs are around €1 per day...

You have a long Christmas breakWink  Don't forget to ask your insurers whether they are happy for the vehicle to be left for so long.

Be aware that most if not all insurance companies will not cover the MH in storage.

We live in Spain and have our Motorhome in storage all year and the cost is usually about 25 euros a month give or take depending on covered or not, some campsites in our region will let you leave your motorhome on site for that duration which will cost
a bit more. If it is around the Alicante region let me know and i'll give you the details for our storage which is run by an English guy.

Our insurer refused to cover if we left it in Storage overseas. We were planning to do similar, the insurer also advised in the event of theft they would request details from my tracking company, which forms part of the cover requirement. This would give
a picture of where it was and its movements over a defined period. In short they could easily prove I had left it stored.

we just didn't bother coming home?
