Eurotunnel Folkestone – Is there a MHSP there?

Just call in at the Folkestone CC site for some.......
Nice idea Ian but if another recent thread is anything to go by my request won't be welcome .
Expecting the CC to provide facilities for members? The very idea!! Such subversive actions are only for the commoners in the C&CC surely?

At the far left hand side of the parking area at Eurotunnel for Caravans/Motorhomes there used to be a fresh water tap but recently the area has been for coaches only to deposit toilet waste.
This part of the park is now not accessible to anyone as there are large concrete blocks in place to stop access.
There were, as I recall, problems with cassette waste being dumped in that area a few years ago and the smell was terrible and waste deposits were strewn everywhere.
Now there doesn't seem to be a fresh water tap anywhere available in the whole of the Terminal.

No service point at Folkestone end that I have seen. Some motorway Aires have them but they are fairly rare.

I've just looked at my recent video (July 3rd) of the water feature at the left hand end of the Motorhome/Coaches parking area.
Hidden behind the three square objects (they could be metal or stone) on pallets is a cassette emptying area which, from memory, has a tap.
No-one has been allowed in that area except Coaches for some considerable time and now they are banned as well.
The tap was used to flush cassettes and therefore would worry me that even if it is available to give fresh water it may not get a Health and Safety certificate for Hygiene.
Taking a tank filled with water that may or may not be 100% clean would deter me from setting foot anywhere near that tap – but you might not be so fussy!
The good news is that it's Free.

Just had a reply from Eurotunnel customer service. "There is an area where you are able to fill your water tank it is in the high space car park, where the coaches and Motorhomes park, located on the way in." Result .
If it's the same tap referred to above then it's good news and bad news! I will be passing through in a couple of weeks and will try and remember to check it out. Too late for the OP but it would be useful to know.

As others have mentioned the emptying point is in the high end carpark which is for motorhomes and coaches. It is a little confusing to use since the addition of a lane made by bollards leading up to it and a sign which states "Coaches Only". I wanted
to empty my black tank last week and asked one of the members of staff who was passing. He advised there were no issue with motorhomes using it. I must warn you that it is not a nice place, the emptying area is a long sloping trough about 6m in length and
previous users have not been very careful with their aim, there was a lot of toilet roll lying around, everywhere. It was convenient for me as I just had to drive over and push the internal button to dump, then jumped out and used the hose to wash the area
down. The hose I used appeared to be the only means of fresh water, and I would be very wary of using that to fill your fresh water tank. Goodness knows where the end has been. I did not pay attention to how the hose is connected, but it may be possible to
disconnect and attach your own hose.Once you have used the facility you are trapped in the lane and need to drive round the back of the terminal building then follow the road to get back into the carpark again.

Perhaps a quick e mail to Eurotunnel will answer your question DD
