The storage compartment under the oven refuses to open; it's the glass one with a logo on it indicating where to press. Worked fine two weeks ago and now it won't click open and we go on a weeks holiday tomorrow. Does anyone have any ideas how to get into
it please?

We had the same problem with ours, OH managed to get it open by carefully running a flat knife along the top to release the catch.

Is there something stopping the catch being fully depressed. Perhaps a few quick fire pressing and release might open it.

Had the same problem at start of season. Gentle persuasion with a screwdriver wrapped in a cloth, then squirt the catch with WD40, GT85 or similar. I think ours got a bit seized up over winter.

is it a flap with a catch or a drawer?

a drawer might be tricky as theres no other acess route, but a flap might have exposed hinges on the bottom edge...?

failing that, plenty of silicon lube as suggested above and repeated pressing of the catch until the lube has had a chance to spread around.

once opened, adjust catch so you dont get a repeat....Wink

Seems these do cause problems. I cured ours by using an old credit card cut into a strip and slid between catch and cooker. Also I gave it a spray of wd40 first. Hope this helps.
