Hi Is there anyone with a recent model Symbol that can tell me whether the drivers seat turns round completely.

I know from experience of other AS motorhomes that there is quite a bit of moving the seat backwards and forwards to turn the seat completely but so far I have only been able the turn the drivers seat about half way.

thanks

    from the AS website...

    • Swivel cab seats on all front lounge models

it may require a bit of shunting, as you say, but also ensure the adjustable steering wheel is fully pushed home towards the dash.....

Not sure about a Symbol but on a Kemerton it only goes just over half way.

being a front lounge layout, the Kemerton 'should' have fully swivelling seats in the cab....surely the idea is to sit in a comfy cab seat and have your feet on the side sofa?

same for the Symbol above I'd have thought....other wise, whats the point of a half swivelling seat?

    Thanks David

The Symbol is the same. It catches on the wood upright on the seat support. I think it could be altered so when I  next go to Broadway I will call at the factory and ask Mark about it.

Oddly enough on the AS website all PVCs plan view drawings show only the passenger seat facing the rear!?

Our first van was a rebadged Symbol (an Orion) only the passenger seat swivelled completely.

Write your comments here...Good point BB, we have had to do the slide back and forth to get the seats to swivel, did not think to push the steering wheel right in DOH!!

true, Micheal, not many think to move it out of the way...Undecided

however, for a side seat box to obstruct the cab seat is poor design....and negates the very reason for the swivel in the first placeSad

perhaps the OP can slide the cab seat back a bit on its runners (after moving the steering wheel) to create a tad more room....

we're back to 'designers' not actually testing their productSad.....unless, of course, it was 'designed' not to workUndecided

At the point when the swivel is obstructed the steering wheel is not in the way. The obstruction is caused by the wood surround of the seating behind.

Yes,  bad design but I think it can be easily altered though I will wait until I go to the factory.

Thanks everyone for comments. I wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something simple.
