Swift motorhome body corrosion
We have a 2011 Swift Bolero 630PR motorhome. I have noticed, recently, corrosion on the offside body below the lower fridge vent causing the paintwork and vynil to blister. I have sent photos of the corrosion to Swift and to my local Swift dealer where I
have the van serviced, Lowdham's at Gunthorpe, Notts. They have sent the photos to Swift and have had a reply saying that they reject any claim as it is out of warranty. The van is only 5 years old and I just wonder if any other Swift motorhome owners have
noticed similar problems with bodywork

Hi there and welcome to Club Together.
I've moved your post here into the Motorhomes Section so we can keep the Introductions Section as intended.

Mmmm....., I thought that the Bolero had alluminium sides, my Bessacarr version certainly did. Even so, I would be surprised that it is corrosion and most likely is the paint blistering or water under the vynil graphic.

Our Bolero had Alloy sides because we had a few dents in them. The vynil decor can be removed with a hot air gun. Alternativly try S & L Automotive on 01623 515222 they are in Sutton in Ashfield. You could drive round and ask them to have a look. They repaired our Swift after an accident. You have the same dealer we did. I would give them zero stars.

Aluminium can corrode - but not rust. However, it's very unlikely.

Apologies for not responding. I couldn't find the link. The corrosion is on the alloy offside panel just under the lower fridge outlet vent and has gone through the vynil. The only thing I can think of is that moisture has
seeped between the fridge outlet grill and down inside the panel.I will try S & L Automotive and see what they say.
Thank you very much. Must pay attention.
