Wrong number of previous owners on sales advert

I purchased a MH which was advertised as 1 owner.

On collection I noticed the V5 said 2 owners but was advised that this was probably a dealer registration.

It transpires that there were 2 individual owners rather than 1.

Interested to hear any thoughts on whether this may be construed as mis-selling since it does have an affect on my selling the van as '2 previous owners' rather than '1 previous owner'

Many MHs have a number of owners during the first 3 to 5 years.

If the number was only 'one' wrong I wouldn't be concerned.

Likewise if a 2 to 3 year old MH had 3 owners I wouldn't worry.

Quite different from cars me thinksWinking

We would be angry finding this out too 2.owners in short space of time Undecidedwhy ! We bought new van within 4 mths nothing but trouble
we new by then as well the layout was wrong for us put the two big problems together and got rid of it
Yell if any body had rang and ask we certainly would have told them the problems we had

could you possibly trace the owners through the service record

i e , the garage who stamped the book might have records of the owners they usually do, worth a try

Many Motorhomes on the S/hand market spend their first year as a for "hire" M/H hired out by M/H hire companies.  They are the first owner and there could have been many hirers during that time. The M/H is sold on after the first year to a dealer who then sells it on to the general public. The dealer might or not register the M/H themselves.
