Hi, we have a petrol peugeot boxer autosleeper year 2000. it has a leak in water fill which has been repaired. we just bought it. one sill is a mess and to keep the campervan long term we want to replace the sill.  to stop further rust spreading and to make
it look as it should.  there is also a bit of rust around that area needs work on. we also want the underneath areas rustproofed. we had a good quote from a mobile mechanic who then never returned our calls when we tried to book him. we live in Oxford. None
of the garages here do that. they just do accident repair body work. we are desperate to get it sorted before it rusts more. Any reccomendations? due to having a special needs son its hard for us to drive too far away to take it somewhere. thanks

Just having a catch up on CT. Sorry you haven't had any replies, usually very helpful crowd on here.  I'm unable to help in your area.  Hopefully someone will be along soon with help.

Might be better to look for garages that do classic vehicle restoration, they are a more aufait with dealing with rust. Body shops are not really interested as you never know what else you will find when you cut off the panel.

It is virtually impossible to estimate the time and amount of work required to replace rusted panels, especially when spares are not readily available. The cost of a seemingly small repair can often exceed the value of the vehicle and this is the reason
that most body shops will not accept this work. A vehicle restorer would do it but only on cost on completion basis and no advance indication would likely be given for final cost or completion date. Sorry, I can't offer anything more hopeful.
