you dont say if its an input pipe (hot or cold) or an output (waste) pipe.

either way, the pipe wont be too long and will have a join nr the tap and somewhere back to the feed (hot/cold).

can you see exactly where the leak is coming from....when filling or when emptying?

joints are usually push fit and fairly secure, though a rubber O-ring might be damaged.

should be straightforward to fix once identified, provided you have access...

Is it actually a pipe? I ask because at Easter we had water under r kitchen sink so I checked the usual suspects and found it was coming from the waste connector where the sink plug fits. I took it apart, it's only 1 screw and underneath is a captive nut
and this has a rubber sealing ring around it which had perished. As it was BH and nowhere to get one from we had a puncture repair kit so I smeared some glue around the sealing ring and as back up stuck a small patch over the nut and job done, 15 minutes work
    and no leak.

Take it back to the dealer.

Thank you for the comments and advice. It needs a new tap unit as that is where the leak is. Any advice on where is a good place to get the part from? Many thanks!

Our local dealer has a range of caravan taps.  Take a photograph and measurements of yours, or more than one photograph, as there are differences between the various models and it's not as easy as you think to decide which one is exactly like yours!

You can also get the 'underneath' bits from our dealer, who has a good range of connectors, valves, etc., but don't know if all dealers do the same.

I agree with ValDa about dealers. We don't have a dealer locally so I hit eBay and Amazon , can't remember which, when our sink tap developed a split.  Took a while yo indentify which make and model it was but with the help of the internet got it sorted.
It came with connections. It was a pain to fit . Hope you get it sorted soon.
