Just got our first motorhome, which is a compass drifter 350. Firstly has anyone out there got the same ? Would love to hear if you have, now probably some silly questions ! 1. We have a gauge for water tank... Er which tank does this refer to ? Fresh or
grey water .

2. Can the fridge run off 12v?

3. Is it okay to have the gas heater on at night ?

We had a few days away last week and LOVED it.

thanks in advance.

Did the m/h have a full habitation service before purchase.

This would establish if the gas appliances are safe for use.

If you only have the one gauge I would suspect it would be for the fresh water tank.  The fridge will only run on 12v whilst the engine is running, that way it will maintain the temperature whilst travelling.  When on site either use electric or gas.  The gas heater should be fine to run at night.  We have used ours no problem.  Might be worth investing in a carbon monoxide alarm to be on the safe side.

The kiddie smoke / CO combo monitors are a good buy imo.  About £15 on amazon.

Then you don't have to have any fears leaving the gas heating on over night.

We very rarely left the heater one as we were usually on hookup, so used a little fan heater instead - to save our gas.
