Leaking tap
Just wondering if anyone can advise me how to mend the 'kitchen' tap in my Elddis Autoquest 400. It is oozing water from the join between the tap bit and the base fitting, ie about a third of the way up the shaft, after the tap is turned off.

Hi just had that problem with my tap on elddis caravan.
you can if your a diy type and have the correct box type socket, remove the centre of tap from above to change cartridge/micro switch and reveal.
I found it easier to buy the whole tap (quite High prices for a bit of plastic)
my type of tap had simple push on connectors which made changing quite straightforward.

Is it a plastic 'Whale' tap. Over the years, I've had various problems with them. A couple of possibilities...
Water coming out after the tap is off, is just gravity emptying the spout. I think there's an 'O' ring at the base of the spout bit which could be leaking. I've also had problems with the spout (which is moulded in 2 pieces) coming apart. A drop of plastic
glue (from model shop) fixed that.Oh, I've also had a split pipe connectors, but that is unlikely to be the problem here. Generally, I don't like the Whale taps.

Hi natbrophy, we had the same problem. If you take the tap apart carefully, inside there is a cartridge (usually blue) take this out and buy a new one from your nearest dealer or online (they all look the same but they are different so make sure it is a
match). This might solve the probem or I am afraid it will be a new tap. However if you need a new tap you can take the cartridge back for a refund.0
