Hi all, first posting so please be gentleWink we have a 2013 Buccaneer fluyt and have no problems so far. Recently when we arrived back to the
van I tried to use the alarm fob to disarm the alarm and it would not work, not knowing about the little stick thingy just inside the door I had to get in and grab the spare fob and set the alarm off.

I assumed it was the battery in the fob so swapped the fobs over intending to get a new battery.  Next day the other fob would not set the alarm, I then saw that both fobs lit up when depressed. Over next few days it has been temperamental setting sometimes
others not, we are on permanent power.

Anyone have any ideas?

I wonder how old the batteries are? I would have thought that they would be OK. For no certain reason I would turn the alarm off completel at the box. Leave it for 10 mins and then switch back on and try again. How long have you had the caravan and was it
    from a dealer?

When our caravan was 3 years old we had a problem with the alarm. I contacted the alarm manufacturer, posted alsrm ans keys to him and they were returned within 4 days. (I had informed the insurance company that I was temporarily removing the alarm

Hi, cheers for your reply, we purchased the van in June this year and from a dealer. You say turn the alarm off complete at the box, I assume there is a main on and off switch then, to be honest I have not found the box yet but then I have not looked, I
assume it is the box near my main power box.

There is loads of info on the Internet. Here are just two links from Google. I'm sure you'll find the answer somewhere. If not, there is a telephone number shown for Autowatch.

Not sure where yours is located, Mine is a black box under the front bunk on the side without electric gubbins and I have keys for it.

As I said, no reason to think turning of, leaving, and back on will work but that would have been my first action.

Next would have been dealer and then Autowatch

My last Elddis caravan had an Autowatch 650 alarm which began to have intermittent problems after about 3 years. Once I renewed the small 12v lead acid back up battery contained in the alarm box everything worked fine again. I bought a compatible battery
    from Screwfix.  Hope this helps.

One of the control fobs on our system went screwy at around 3 years old and started turning the alarm on and off. Luckily we were at home and I put the key at the furthest end of the house - 70 feet from the caravan and seperated by 3 internal wall and one
    exterior wall Happy

I had to send both fobs and the alarm bock for repair as the fobs needed to be paired again. Just cost me postage one way.
