Lunar Quasar 586

Hi there

We are looking at getting a new Lunar Quasar 586 and wondered if anyone had any experience of this particular van/layout?  Any hot tips or advice would be much appreciated!  Our last van purchase was an Avondale Argente 550 in 2008 so this feels a huge decision!

    We purchased a Lunar Delta and to be honest the build is supposed to be lightweight even at 1800kg Max but price for price it's expensive when you take into account the flimsy quality interior build This was going to be our last caravan purchase
    but I can't see it lasting

    We have a 2015 dealer special based on a Quaser and the quality is poor.  The van now needs to have a new floor.

    I have a Quasar 462 now 9 months old, used 4 times, and to date I am very happy with it, I suppose only time will tell, ask the same question in a couple of years.

    We have had our current lunar clubman for 4.5 years and have had a total of 85 weeks away in it using about 100 sites (usually 5 nights and move on). Only problem with fixtures was the bracket coming lose underneath the side diner table during travel - soon
    sorted and some screws coming loose on the oven fixing after it had been removed to repair a grill burner under warranty. They had been overtightened and so I simply dowelled the screw holes with a matchstick and rescrewed. 

    The few problems that we have had have been common components such as the oven and a failing toilet flush pump.

    We have had a Quasar 564 for two and a half years and have had no problems so far. 2008 Avondales 

    have a terrible reputation for damp and I would be very wary of that and make sure it was checked before trading it in to avoid any nasty surprises.
