To cover or not...?

OK, so we bought a new van this year. Now the question is do we buy a cover for the winter or not..?

We were thinking yes of course we should, but now not so sure. A decent cover will cost ~£400, but will it really pay for itself when it comes to trade in later on..?

I was at our storage place yesterday and out of around 40 vans there were just 4 with covers, and plenty of new looking vans as well.

It is a case that the covers are such a pain to fit/remove that people only put them on when closing up for the winter..?

Your thoughts please...

Well if it was me, I would just get on with enjoying your new van, and forget spending the price of a couple of holidays on a cover, but keep it well cleaned and away from trees dropping sap. Forget the resale value, just enjoy your new purchase!Happy

We never did cover ours and had no issues.  Give it a good wash and wax before winter or get paintseal or similar applied.  We did a couple of winters put some fenwicks over winter sealer on and that worked well.

Do not see the need for a full cover,LVs are all year round use vehicles, the only cover we are considering is to cover the front ,not to stop it getting mucky but to keep it shaded from the sun,as it has large area of windows, and one thing that is a no no is shutting the blinds
