Coachman Pastiche 575/4 transverse bed.

Hello can anyone tell me how the deflector under the mattress with a transverse bed should fit? I assume it is a heat deflector because the Alde heating finned radiator is near the top end of the bed. It is a piece of plastic the width of the bed - loose
at the moment because I fail to see how it fits. I am probably being totally thick but don't want to damage the mattress if it isn't fitted correctly. Help!!
