Do you have to take your caravan back to were you bought  it from ? iam thinking of having it serviced at home to save time.the caravan  is 2 years old and as long as i have serviced by a regested engineer who can sign the warranty card will this be OK to
keep my 3 years warrany going. My van is a swift chalanger sport.

A registered mobile servicing engineer is fine to keep the warranty going.

I am also in this situation but concerned if something serious goes wrong you need a workshop to fix it and a mobile chap cannot do that.

    I wonder what others think?

Surely you are talking about basic servicing ?  Are you suggesting that something shows up during routine checks that is so serious that it requires a 'workshop' ?  ...... in that case you take whatever action is appropriate.

Sorry vic I don't understand your post

If a mobile Engineer discovers a serious damp problem for example then that’s as far as he can take it

It would require a workshop to take the front off a caravan so is it better to go to the main dealers for your servicing where they can deal with anything.? That's the question I face shortly

Similar situation with cars where you can have service work carried out by an independent workshop using OEM parts,my take on it is that the manufacturer will try and get out of a warranty claim whenever possible even though legally they can't but is it
worth the hassle, not to me so I always go to my car and caravan dealers for servicing, only down road a bit for me though.
