it's a pressurised system, you open the tap & the pressure drops, the pump runs and you get water from the tap, you turn the tap off, the system gets back to pressure, pressure switch tells the pump to stop .... pump stops Laughing

If it is turning off and on again when the water is ru ni g then it could be the water is running more slowly than the pump pumps. This would mean the pump has to switch off to let the flow catch up.

If the taps are fully open check the pressure switch is set correctly.

We used our caravan for the first tine last month and I had a slight panick when I heard the pump going on and off as it is a brand new 2016 model ! My husband told me it's because I didn't have the tap on fast flow , as soon as I put it on full flow the pump was continuous . Hope this helps

Following another discussion about the pressurised system a while ago, I've started turning the pump off if we are going out for the day - there was a suggestion if there was a leak it would constantly pump out until the barrel was empty and possibly emtying
the heater causing it to burn out?

I had a similar problem some years ago but the pump kept switching on when the taps were turned off.  Found that the 'O' rings on the pump piece that  connects to the caravan needed replacing.  As MM says, sounds as though you do not really have a problem
