Thanks everyone for the replies re using gas.

We might be ok as we do tend to use EHU in the winter months but it might mean a second Safefill if it can go through one in 4 days.

    Appreciate your help

If you fill it to max when cold, the excess will just go down the overflow.

No point in having it more than half way between min and max when cold.........or just follow the Alde guide........I presume they know their systems.

I find the system very good, no cold spots to talk of and an ability to zone the heating in bathroom, bedroom and living areas according to our comfort. Furthermore, we can use the excess engine heat to warm the alde system and thus the whole  habitation
    area whilst driving.

    Write your comments here...Hi mickysf,

How do you control your zones?

    Thanks,

    David.

    I was wondering that too.

We have a large twin axle, no mention of zones in our handbook.

Write your comments here...I topped my header tank up 6 months ago when cold to max and the level is still on max. I guess you would have to be quite a bit over max before it comes out of the overflow. During the six months I used the heating in snow conditions,
I did not experience any noise from the header tank, so in my book fill to max or suffer the gurgling noise.

When cold and setting up on site the we use ehu and gas to give a fast heat up as per the instructions.

if the pump is noisy check the pump speed is set at the correct speed, ours was set at max and drove us mad,
