Mover not working - battery?
On way back from a really nice 2 weeks in Italy, only slightly marred by mover packing up when we tried to get van off a tight pitch!
The van is only 2 months old, however battery is 4 years and was transferred from old van. The LED status on mover would seem to indicate low battery as well.
Will try and borrow a battery from friends to test but is a battery dying after 4 years abnormal or possible?

That happened to us and, yes, that's about the limit for leisure batteries apparently. The caravan would move a few feet and stop, then I switched the mover on again, the van would move an inch, then stop. A new battery solved the problem.

Are you sure the mover hasn't "tripped" the switch? My last one had a bad habit of tripping the switch - if it thought it was overworked. Just needed a biro or something to reset. I don't recall anyone telling me about the re-set button but it was very
useful to know - shame it was under the bed bit!0 -
I suggest you test the battery (section near the end) before replacing it to be sure:

As above - check the battery in the handset and ensure that the terminals are rust free.

Handset and batter are fine, is all a little over month old apart from leisure battery! Will try reset but performs as described above moves then cuta out. The led status indicates low voltage

Had a play with this yesterday as had more time. Can get one mover to work at a time, with the other not engaged (should have said is twin axle).
engaging both it cuts out
my view is the extra load of both trying to work is too much for a (potentially) failing battery. So will swap and see, worse case I end up with spare battery!
With hindsight would probably have been fine with one mover, didn't really think it through. In excitement of changing vans!

I purchesed a high-power automobile emergency mobile power supply, do a search you will find them on eBay there is loads of diffrent ones,I would go for the high output, reason why I purchesed one is for the same reason as op,and also my Touareg failed started that no problem also loads of other things you can power up

We had no end of problems with our Powretouch mover similar to comments above. Powretouch came out on three occassions and found no fault. Changed the battery with no improvement, so had a good look myself.
The problem was several connectors had not been securely fitted to the cables. New ones of the correct size were fitted and, touch wood, no further issues for 2 years to date.
