Whale water pipe direct connection

hi. I have a Whale water hook up pipe that connects straight from the site tap to my caravan. I was given this without any instructions as its second hand. I am trying to find out should the on board pump be turned on or off when using this hook up. I'm
concerned that if I do it wrong I could damage the on board pump.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    In our Swift handbook it says........

    • When using a mains water connection
    the pump will still need to be switched on to
    supply water to the water heater,
    taps and shower.
    • If a mains water connection is used, please
    ensure this is a Truma Waterline connection,
    which has a built in pressure reducing valve.

    I expect the Whale system works in the same way.

    We do use water hook-up, but not this type so have no direct experience.  We use the "via Aquaroll" system
