Or, if you are experienced at towing, pat yourself on the back and leave it as is. It is exactly what it should be so you will be fine!

And if you travel abroad you will wonder what all the fuss is about as a family of 4 turn up in a Mark 1 Focus towing a 6 berth Fendt caravan with full size awning and everything including the kitchen sink. Watching them unload I reckon their nose weight
must have been well over 100kgs0 -
When I caravanned as a kid my dad never checked the noseweight of the caravan he used to have two gas bottles and loads of other stuff in the front locker five bikes at the front of the caravan between the front seats and the awning in the middle over the
axle. He never had an issue and he towed it accross to Holland every year aswell as UK trips. He did upgrade his suspension on the Granada he used to have though.0 -
We always check the nose weight. our nose weight is 65kg and the caravan pulls fine. On our last trip we made the mistake of checking the nose weight on a slope which made the nose weight greater and we could really feel the difference. It was as if you
had the hand break on.0 -

I think that a little engineering analysis and design has gone into tow bar to car fixing, rear suspension capability and the overall dynamics of towing since then. Which is why many veteran towers are familiar with the onset of snaking, or cracked springs,
while todays towers are blissfully unaware of yesteryears ills and tow faster than then, without a second thought.0 -
Just remember how you packed it!! I tow my Bailey Olympus at around the 90kg that the Mondeo will take and it sits fine.
