Caravan damagewire
Currently sitting in the dealers. Came to pick up my caravan which has been back to the manufacturer under warrant. Hitching up an hour ago I was alarmed to find the wire to the sockets has been taped up. The ATC isn't working. Further inspection reveals the window re is damaged. Also the handle to tighten up the jockey wheel has been replaced because the dealer saw it was bent. when I dropped it off over a month ago it was damage free. Not happy.

,Just do not let them try to fob you off with lame excuses its all down to them to sort it out, what make of van? and where are they?
The reason I should think the ATC does not work is because the cable has been dragged (some distance) while being towed and worn through hence the tape

Dealers are currently replacing the wiring. Point is it's been at the manufacturer for the last three weeks. Only dropped back at dealers today. Someone must have known about the damage because they taped over it. The damage is bad. I've got pictures.

The window wasn't damaged as I said. This was an auto correct mistake. Meant to say the wiring was damaged. Thought we weren't supposed to name and shame on here. It's not on though. You leave your 'van in good faith and it's returned having been knocked

Wonder if anyone else has had an instance where the jockey wheel handle has got bent. And if so, under what circumstances?

Must admit after many years in the motor trade i always photograph and video my unit before it goes to dealer and then get dealer to sign as to condition accepted in, then there can be no arguements, This was always the case in our garage all vehicles were inspected and signed for with customer before work commenced saves a lot of hassle and does not take long. This way it protects both the customer and the place of repair from unscrupulous people.

Good idea, Jeff. In fairness, the dealers are not saying it was me who damaged it. They replaced the wire and the plug to get me on my way. I have yet to establish just who was responsible. And I have concerns as to how the handle got bent.
