modern van, led lighting etc. How many days of normal usage in September would you expect to get from a 110a battery. ??

It might struggle for a week but it depends on how you use it. Many sites without electrics will charge batteries, otherwise I would look for a decent solar charger.

Before we had a solar panel we regularly did festivals etc for up to a week without difficulty, and on a far from new battery too. It pays to be careful not to waste power unnecessarily though.

I have easily gone a week with a 110am battery before fitting a solar panel. The led lights have minimal consumption. Our Unicorn has a mixture of both led and usual filiment bulbs. The latter do make the meter reading dop so they are best avoided. The only thing different with your set up to mine is the blown air fan as I have the Alde wet and the heat pump is very low consumption. I did have an earlier van with a Carver blown air fan on which it was possible to turn the fan off and use the heater as a convector which actually was all we needed. Can you run your heater with the fan off? Otherwise you should manage easily. The only consideration if you have a motor mover is that they do draw a lot from a battery. So ideally site up without using it.

Our battery charger stopped working before a trip once, but we didn't realise it at the time. So we used everything as normal. This was in November.

We used the mover a couple of times, we don't have LED lights, we tend not to use the heater fan.

The lights went out after about 4 or 5 days, from memory.

thanks Ian, all sounds encouraging. Had a thought, buy new 110ah and take my 75ah as a spare if we don't quite manage a week. Thought of solar but we only go off grid a few times a year and have a genny. Would use genny this time but its a none elec ccc
