Hi There,

Management needs another mirror fixing in the caravan.  I would like to mount this on the bathroom door.  As I do not want to drill the door I was thinking of sticking it on.

Can anybody recommend a fixing method - was pondering using the double sided pads that are used to stick a regesration plate on with.

Am keen to make sure once stuck it stays in place!

Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Darren

When a mirror was required in my van I drilled the bathroom door and used the smallest mirror screws I could find!

Search Google for mirror fixings and you will find a range of double sided adhesive pads.

Tigerseal or Sikaflex. They are polyuethene adhesives and stick  like the proverbial to a blanket but are about £10 a tube (come in a silicone/bathroom sealant type tube)

We tried sticking a mirror inside our bathroom door, using the double-sided pads, but each time we'd done a journey we found it on the bathroom floor.  Fortunately it never broke!  Now it's fitted on with screws - and little caps to cover the screw heads
    and looks very professional.

When we had a caravan we stuck ours on the back of the bathroom door with lots of sticky pads, we had the van 5 years and it was still firmly in place when we sold it.

Most sticky pads very slowly give way under tension. But screw AND glue, and you are very unlikely to have a problem.
