Does anyone have any idea as to why the water isn't heating up?.....the handbook is all but useless.  Thanks

On Electric, its been working fine since I purchased the van 3 yrs ago, so water flow is fine.  I wouldn't know how to operate it with gas if I am honest LOL!

Have you checked the obvious ie the trip/RCD hasn't tripped? My similar aged Lunar Delta had a switched fused isolator, is the fuse OK? After that it could obviously be the element itself

Operating it on gas means removing the outside cover & switching the switch to ON. If you get a red light soon after, then it's given up trying to light the gas.

Not sure if it's the same but with my Lunar Quasar I found that when I first get to site and set up.  When I open the taps up I have to open the hot tap first.  If I do cold tap, then hot tap I don't seem to get hot water.  No idea why.

You haven't drained the heater prior to travelling and then on the next pitch turned the water heater on without any water in? Will cause element to burn out.

Is this your first trip out this year? if water was left in the heater over winter and it froze it can wreck the element.

    Good luck.

     ......

It shouldn't. It should trip and auto reset when cooled down when you fill the tank. On occasion I've done it when we've plugged the 'van in at home and then discovered that the the ON switch was still on from when we were on site.

I always run water into the hot system first, kitchen tap first then bathroom. I never travel with water in the water heater so it's a new fill up every time we arrive on site. I'm not sure if I was advised to do it that way but that's the way I've always
    done it.
