Caravan rain channel

Across the front of my caravan above the three front windows is a shallow rain channel to take rain water away to the sides, However, in heavy rain like the storms we are having at the moment rain water is flowing off the roof at the front, the channel cannot
cope and lots of water is flowing over the window and a small amount has managed to get in. Does anyone have any ideas how to make the front edge of the channel higher, in effect making the channel deeper. (PS. I need to have the caravan front lower)

    Depends on your caravan Nuggy.  My Coachman has a black plastic trim across the front and in effect gives me about a 4" deep rain gutter.

    Thanks for that, next time I am around caravans I will have a more careful look at Coachman caravans for ideas.

    Nuggy, regardless of whether there is a channel or not rain should NEVER be getting on the inside of windows.  Sounds like a seal has gone or the hinge rail needs resealing.  Recommend you get it checked asap.

    Comeyras, thanks for your comment and concern. You are quite right that even a small amount of water should not be getting in. The frame rubber seal which the inner surface of the window presses against is not making perfect contact and needs sorting, which
    is in hand. Cheers

    You can buy a 'drip stop' from Fiamma - which you may be able to use across the front of your van, instead of the side as

    shown here.

    Not seen one of those before, I assume it is sticky backed.
