Hobby caravan dimpled body work

I am the proud owner of a Hobby caravan and as with a lot of German vans it has the dimpled body work. Looks great until you get it scraped. I was forced to cut a corner to avoid a fast moving oncoming white van in France. The end result is a small scrape
(8" long x 2" high) along the off side just above the bottom draught excluder rail. Caused by a large rock very close to the edge of the road.

Although I am confident that I can fill the dent in my problem is how to recreate the dimpled effect. Can anyone out there help please? I don't particularly want to go through the insurance company as they will probably want to replace a whole section of
bodywork. The panel has not been split by the way.                        Thanks, Colin
