Reversing light permanently illuminated

Since changing my tow car, the reversing light on the caravan is permanently illuminated when the engine is running. As I didn't have this problem with my previous tow car it's logical to assume that the car electrics are at fault. Can anyone point me in
the right direction as to solving this issue.

Many thanks

    If you bought it from a garage take it back & get them to test it or if you can plug another caravan into it to see if your van maybe got corrosion in a connection

    Sounds like;

    Pins 1 and 6 within the towcars 12s socket may of been wired the wrong way around or Pins 8 and 10 within the towcars euro socket. To check this, have a look at your caravan's fridge, does it only work on 12v when the car is put in reverse gear with the
    ignition switched on?

    PS, if this is the case, you may find that a fuse within the towcars reversing light circuit has blown, if your towcars reversing light circuit is auto-fused through the towcars ECU you may have to cycle the ignition switch to auto-reset the cars reversing light circuit. It could easily fuse said circuit as most caravan fridges draw around 10 AMPS current.
