Just in the final stages ie going to say yes or no to ordering a Bailey Persuit today from Campbell Carvans Preston. Would like to hear from some of the members if they have any experiences good and bad with the following. Keep in mind that people do have
good and bad experiences in ever walk of life as people have different expectations.

* Bailey

* The Persuit 430/4

*Campbells Caravans Preston

* What to watch out for when buying new.

Thanks in advance. (Nervous and Apprehensive )

    Hi Clincton,

    No personal experience, but there is a review of this 'van in the June edition of Caravan magazine, and it certainly gets the thumbs up from them. Nice looking van.

    good luck

    Dont want to put you off Clincton but i bought a new caravan from Campbells. They were excellent throughout the whole sales process. It was from the day of pick up that they completely changed. I posted my experience in the story section some time ago. I vowed never to use them again. If the search facility works try searching for them, you will find I’m not the only on to have had a bad experience with them.

    Good luck with your final decision and I hope everything goes well for you and you enjoy your new caravan.

    I've moved your thread here as it's more appropriate.

    I can't help with comments about your chosen van but I vowed never to cross Campbell's threshhold again after an appalling situation when collecting our new van from them.

    Good luck.

    Bailey's are as good as other makes. I bought a new Bailey, it was OK. Remember they are mass produced, without the product finnish of a car but still coast as much. Also it is much more difficult to put together wood, plastic and metal with all the internal
    fittings. As long as everything works in the end you will be fine

    Cambells no differant from others. IE. upto collection you are their best friend and after.....Mr who!!! Remember it is their job as sales persons.

    The main thing is are you happy with the price.

    Hi. Took delivery of a brand new Pursuit 430/4 last Friday and am really pleased with it. I was nervous after reading reviews on blogs/discussions but am happy that everything works as it should, nothing looks like it might fall apart at first use etc etc.
    Bought from a dealer in Oxfordshire. My moral is to read professional reviews and avoid discussion forums. The general opinion of those writers were that it was a cheap caravan, basic and you get what you pay for. Yes it is basic compared to some caravans
    but its what ever suits your taste, tow car and budget. And in the end you are all on the same campsite!  Enjoy.

    We did look at the Pursuit at a show earlier this year and were impressed with the build quality of the interior. Bailey are about average in the PC customer survey.

    We are waiting for delivery of a Pursuit 430/4 from Chipping Sodbury caravans, hopefully for the end of June. If you read reviews on forums I don't think you would by a new van, it seems people are quick to criticize quality but not so keen to praise. Given
    the amount of vans Bailey must sell there are going to be some faults but hopefully these are not as common as forums suggests.

    Took delivery of our Bailey Pursuit 430/4 in March and we are very please with it. Wou suggest you pay the extra for an upgraded plate if your tow car will allow. This is especially wise if you have opted for the plus version as the extras come to 43k. If
    you then add battery and mover, if you have one, then not a lot of spare capacity left.

    We have upgraded the weight to 1300kg which cost £60 because of the extra weight from Chipping Sodbury's platinum pack which includes a solar panel as well as the factory fitted upgrades.

    We took delivery of a Pursuit 550-4 in March.

    Considered the competition as well as the equivalent Pegasus and Unicorn models. With the upgraded Amaro upholstery the Pursuit doesn't feel like the entry level model at all. It all feels very solid. Miles better than the Xplore and Venus vans we looked
    at.

    Delivered faultless and twenty odd nights in, I am more than happy with the caravan. The value for money of the Pursuit a Brucie Bonus.

    As others have said, with all the options coming off your payload, by the time you add a mover and battery, what payload is left is a bit challenging. Get the plate upgrade thrown in.

    A thumbs up here.

    Best of luck & enjoy

    We bought a Pursuit 430/4 from Chipping Sodbury Caravans in early April 2014.  Now used it for well over 300 nights.

    Odd problems but all have been sorted very quickly by Chipping Sodbury caravans.

    We chose the Pursuit as it is very comfortable and fulfills our needs! I have to say that the blown air heating is one of the best we have come across.

    Really pleased with it!
