Eldiss Avante cracked panels
i have just had my first service on my Avante
to my horror the dealer discovered cracks on both sides
to the top of the rear panel.
When I checked the club site I saw that other have had this problem.
i would like to contact others who have a similar problem in the last year or so

Have the same problem with Swift rear panel (ABS - rubbish) However, contacted their customer service direct (cc: our dealer) and received reply stating that, as our servicing record was up to date, the warranty was intact.
I therefore should contact the dealer (after our return from 2 months in Europe) to have a warranty claim raised.
However Elddis deal with their warranty, that is IMHO the first step to take?
Then hopefully they will stand by their product. If not then Citizens Advice Consumer or Council Trading Standards will need to be consulted?

Sorry to hear your news, you'll find plenty of people who have suffered with Elddis cracked panels.
In 2015 our 2013 Elddis Avante 462 had gapping stress cracks in the top corners of the rear panel on the side. At the same time water was dripping in from a cracked frame/kerb to the heki rooflight.
After some wait for the parts and a free slot at the dealer, we had a new rear panel and heki rooflight fitted under warranty in November. The new rear panel being a slightly different design to the original. The heki rooflight repair included the addition
of a timber subframe in the roof construction as it was considered that the original design did not allow for any movement which had been the cause of the rooflight cracking. This amendment was done with agreement with Elddis by our dealer.In March 2016 at the annual service our dealer informed us that the replacement new rear panel had cracks in both top corners, this after just 50 miles towing.
We are still waiting fof the dealer to tell us when they will be able to replace this new panel, which will be under warranty again, as until Elddis have a satisfactory solution to the cracking problem, I can't see the point of replacing the panel with the
same design which will undoubtably crack yet again Apparantly ours is not the only van that's had a replacement rear panel of a 'new' design fitted that has again cracked.We're told we can use the van as normal as it's not a structural problem, our dealer has sealed the crack with silicone.
Our dealer/service agent has been very helpful and proactive in trying to solve our problems.
If you've not done so already, get your dealer to register a warranty claim with Elddis Our warranty claim for the cracked rear panel & the replacement heki rooflight was dealt with very quickly by Elddis.

Same with Compass (Elddis) cracks are starting to appear in my rear panel, 12 month warranty for panel!!! runs out in November so it will be going in for it's service end of September.

Sorry to hear you have joined the CEC,that's the Cracked Elddis Club, our Xplore, rear panel "failed" at under 12 months,replace with no problens from Elddis, we must have a good dealer. We have also had kitchen doors replaced, leaking front window, hole
in wheel arch, mastic missing and that's in a van that's just over2 years old.We just hope you have a good dealer as all our issues have been dealt with in a very prompt way.

Given the number of reports of this on the various forums it is clear the panels are not fit for purpose and even if the so called warranty has run out the dealer is still liable under The Sale of Goods Act. An alternative way forward was to point out the
cracks permit water ingress and you claim under that part of the warranty.0
