Caravan tyres
I am about to replace my caravan tyres. It is an Avondale Mayfly, who recommend 175R13 94 N.
I have researched what is available and found the following:-
Goodride 175R13 97/95 Q which exceeds the manufacturer's requirement.I do not know this make, can anyone give me any comments or recommendations as to its suitability.
Halfords say that it is a good quality tyre.

As these tyre sizes become less popular then it is only the far eastern brands making them, you have not that much choice available. The Goodride look to be a knock off of the Avon AV4 tread pattern so probably as good as any of the others. Luckily my caravan
is 800kg so I was able to fit Uniroyal the only premium brand available in that size but only available in 86T rating.0 -
I bought some last year before changing our van, I was told by bush tyres that the east riding of yorkshire county councill use them on all their vans and trucks

I changed the tyres on our caravan a few weeks ago. I got some Hankook Vantra tyres, which have a good reputation.
I also changed to 185 width because they have a higher load rating. You do need to check the profile also if you do this, to ensure that the overall diameter remains the same, to avoid any problems with a mover (if fittted).
I changed from 175\80 R14 to 185\75 R14 which increased the load rating from 775kg to 850kg per side (1550 to 1700kg overall). The overall diameter is virtually identical.

Given the low mileage caravan tyres usually do they will normally need replacing due to age rather than wear. On that basis the last time we changed them the make seemed of no consequence.
..I see what you're trying to say, but I still like name I've heard of

You also have to check the rim width, the minimum width for 185 tyres is 5.0" rims idealy 5.5"
