Alde heating system
I have an Alde wet heating system in a 2012 Bailey Seville. The fluid is blue in colour. Where can I buy fluid to top up the system? Can I mix Blue and Pink? In looking around I can only find Pink (5 years).

You should have an aldi imformation book which tells you to use ethanolglycol 60% glycol to 40% distilled water, the system should be emptied every 2 years and replenshished with new. Your dealer should help you, mine does it every service top up first year
and replace every two years.1 -
Hopefully Alde don't recommend as high a concentration as 60/40% glycol solution but a 40/60 %.
I simply use a 50/50 making mixing easy but not too strong to become a poor heat transmitting mix.
There are some very specific types of antifreeze that can mix with most others. These carry the VAG designation G12++ and the environmentally kinder G13. Note carefully the suffix ++. These are both 5 year life fluids. A readily available one meeting G13 is Comma's Xstream GG40, sold by Halfords for example.
Normally it is risky to mix other specification 2 and 5 year type fluids but the ones quoted are exceptions and tolerant with "most" other types.

According to Alde their pink fluid can be mixed with the blue. As far as I am aware they only sell the pink to end users like us.
Alde advise changing blue anti freeze every two years so you might want to drain your system and replace with pink.
I had my blue replaced as part of the caravans second service.

Thanks all for the input. I finally managed to speak with someone at Alde who confirmed that it was unwise to mix the pink and blue but assured me that their Premium G13 antifreeze was OK for topping up the Blue 2 year fluid or the Pink 5 year fluid. The
colour of this G13 is Magenta (sort of purple). Thank heavens for colour definition:-) Camping was so much simpler!0
