Front Blind

Hi All

Just returned from our second outing with our new Bailey Pursuit 430/4 which we are very pleased with.

One minor problem is that the front blind, which covers the whole window, could do with a bit more tension. Contacted the Dealer who said pop it back and we can do it for you very quickly. Don't really want the 80 mile round trip for something so minor so
wondered if it is something I can do myself.

Now I know on most blinds you just turn the screws on the end but you can't even see them on this blind as it covers the the full width of the window. Guessing the blind has to be taken down. Is this something you would recommend doing and if so how do you
do it or is it better left until I do need to go back to the Dealer?

    If you can live with it and the dealer will be servicing it I would get them to deal with it then.

    I have a new Pursuit with the same problem but cannot get to the removal screws as Bailey have put a piece of wood at each side of the blind which covers the removal screws. I will just wait till the annual check and get the dealer to do it!

    If you can get to the side of the Blind you will see two screw heads - one tensions the blind the other the fly screen, it's obvious which is which.  Just put a screw driver in the head, push it in and turn to tighten, then remove the screw driver carefully and job done.  If it pings loose again repeat being more careful when removing the screw driver.  A 5 min do it yourself job.  I have to use a small stubby screw driver as I only have a few inches in which to work - look at another more accessible blind to see which screw you need to turn if you cannot see on the front blind.  Removing the blind is fairly easy but with a new van I would let the dealer do it.

    Just done my Ranger GT 6 series front blind today, it's a full width blind as well. On mine the gap was not big enough to get a stubby screw driver in, or see the screw slot. Got a small mirror to see where the slot was and used screwdriver bit ( the interchangeable type ) to turn the bit by hand. You do need quite a strong grip with your fingers to turn it. If you can't do it by hand try a small wooden knob or similar, drill a hole slightly smaller the screwdriver bit and tap the bit gently into to drill hole. You now have mini stubby driver. Any good. ???
