Paint Seal, Disappointment
Just had the new Bailey treated, what a waste.
First Paint Seal could not find my order and payment and hence were intent on applying the wrong finish, hard job getting them to accept I wanted the Golscoat not the cheaper Teflon. Ever spoke to the MD, he comes accross like a Spiv and could do no wrong,
sorry.
Called in at dealers to see the product being applied. Van had not been prewashed by Paint Seal as they said they do . Technician complained of a dirty roof which would not have been so if he had washed the van as they said they would.
Final straw, Did not treat the windows for fear of scratching them !! Claimed they had told me that, they had not. Seems like Paint Seal have lots of communication problems but manage to take money fast !!. Well had the washed the van as promised the windows
would have been clean and no risk of scratching.
Now had to spend £42 on a simulal Gtechniq product so I can finish the coating to the windows.
Really disappointed by the attitude and finsish, given the extent of caravan windows what a cop out, never again would I go near Paint Seal.

Seems that way, thats why we dont buy a lottery ticket, a no hoper !!!!! Can only tell it as it is. Might help others make an informed choice given the mixed press on this company

Our experience with Paintseal is the total opposite. We'd arranged a date with them for a technician to come out and do it at our home. The day before the forecast was for rain, so a phonecall sorted out another date. Second date: same story, rain forecast, so no good again. Date suggested by them was no good to us, so they re-arranged a date with one of the technician to suit us.
Third time lucky? No, again the weather played up, but the technician came and did the inside fabrics and carpets, so at least that part was done.
Fourth time was lucky, and all I can say is that the job was carried out properly and to our satisfaction. Being away this time, on arrival on one site there had been a lot of dirt thrown up at the MH and it washed off without a problem with plain water.
All our dealings with them have been on a professional basis, they rang back when they said the would and did their best to accommodate our wishes for a particular date.
As for "taking money fast": they asked for a £99 deposit, which is fair enough, but the balance wasn't taken for over a week after the treatment. And only after a courtesy phonecall asking whether we were satisfied and then notifying us that payment would be taken.
Seems a totally different experience to yours W&J.

Your van was dirty, W&J? Surely not!

Perhaps they had seen your postings on here W&J and decided you are not the type of customer they want to have. Sellers have choices too.

No, I'm not 'narsty', W&J, but when posting in the manner you have adopted, you cannot expect people to be gentle with you. Instead, we either take the mick on a good day, or give as good as we get on a bad. As you sow, so shall you reap.

Is the business franchised, if so it would explain why different people are getting differing service as in reality they are different firms.

Write your comments here...really no need for the constant nasty abuse, in fact on the verge of a complant being lodged. The forum is suposed to debate caravan issues not hate mail

They have HQ in Nottingham, where there is also a workshop if you want to go there. All work carried out is arranged via HQ there. All work carried out at customer's homes is allocated to the technician living closest to, although I don't think they are
actually employed by them. So strictly speaking not a franchise IMHO either. The chap who came to our house had been working for them for 12 years. And I reiterate what I said before, all dealings with HQ and the work carried out could not be faulted. The allegation made by W&J about taking money quickly isn't one I endorse; to the contrary, the balance wasn't paid until over a week after the work
was completed. That is done by HQ, so I don't know why there seems to be such a discrepancy between their experience and ours.0 -
we had our Bailey Cadiz treated and we are very pleased with the result payment was made when completed no hasle no problems
