Handbrake bracket - what is this?

I had a look under my caravan (2011 Bailey Orion) and noticed this bracket hanging off the long  handbrake rod that runs from the handbrake to the axle.  I really don't know what it is and where it should be attached - nothing obvious. Can anyone shed any light on this? Photos links are below.

That should be screwed to the underside of the floor about half way along the brake rod, to suport the rod duting vertical manouvers. Note the rod is for normal (over run) braking as well as the parking brake.

OK thanks for that, very useful, sorted now.  The bracket had ended up a long way from where it was supposed to be.  It sits about 1/3 the way along the brake rod, and is screwed into the floor - all 3 screws had pulled out and left the bracket drifting
    around.
