Lunar Delta on board tank
I know that this topic has been raised before but it was some time ago and mainly related to vans several years old so I thought I'd start again and see if there's any updates.
i have just bought a new Delta and as I write this am on the last day of its first trip out. Before the trip I tested my Truma hose with pressure regulator to make sure it works as the Clubman and it did. This is our preferred method of water supply i.e.
fully serviced pitch but the pitch we are currently on is standard one so its out with the Aquaroll. For most of our stay I just used the aquaroll leaving the on board tank empty but curiosity got the better of me and I had to try the tank.
The manual is very brief and somewhat confusing and you need to look in two different sections to get what information is available.
My conclusions so far are that it almost serves no useful purpose. My thoughts were that you could load up a tank full and an Aquaroll full giving 80 litres before having to refill, not the case without intervention. As soon as the tank gets to approximately
75% the tank fill kicks in drawing water from the Aquaroll meaning that you end up with a full tank and ultimately an empty Aquaroll. At this point you have to turn the pump off from the control panel to avoid running dry but this also turns the tank pump
off so no water. I guess that if, at this stage you wanted to use the water in the tank you would need to go out (probably in the rain) and remove the Aquaroll pump - I haven't tried this yet.
I noticed from the previous thread that there seemed to be two pump switches on the earlier controls but on this one there is only one. Unless I've got it all wrong a second pump switch is called for to isolate the Aquaroll from inside.
Am I missing something or is it as described your contributions would be welcomed.

I have a Luner Delta 520 and have had 2 previous Delta's. What I have always done is fill the holding tank up with 2 Aquarolls. I then take the pump out of the the barrel untill the tank needs filling again. I monitor the water level in the caravan with
the water guage. This method has served us well for about 22 years.0 -
Sounds to be a different set up fgom ours ADP. All our water HAS to come via the tank ..... there's no option of using water directly from the Aquaroll as jnicks seems to be able to
Write your comments here...I think you may be right Molly. Sounds as if the newer ones have something like a float valve for when we can hook up direct to mains water. Not that I have ever bothered with it even though I do carry the kit.

Our Delta is 11 months old.
There are two pump controls. The main one (bottom left) is the main water pump supplying the taps. Within the control panel there is a 'tank fill' setting, this is used to pump water from the aquaroll into the onboard.
I tend to fill the onboard with the first aquaroll and then refill a second fill for back-up. In this state I would only have the main pump on.
There is a way to use the auqaroll only. It requires you altering the background settings on the control panel. Toggle the control panel till it says Sargent. Press and hold the select button and this then brings up lots of options, one of which is whether
to use the onboard tank or not.0
