ATC
I just read a which review of Al-Ko ATC over 1,079 miles of Driving around Scotland in winter. It mentioned 53 activations.
Does that mean that there is some way of downloading/reviewing the number of activations, or was it that Which had some sort of telemetary kit set up for the test?

Seems rather a lot of activations unless they were driving so as to deliberately set it off. I thought it was only supposed to activate when it detected several significant movements in a short time, such as a van starting to snake. I believe it does record
some data because it tells you how to deal with a log overflow error in the instructions. I don't think there is any easy way for this to be accessed though. I would assume Which had a special set up.0 -
There will be AlKo software available to agents. I have seen reference to recording actuations and the g-forces recorded during actuations.
It would be great to be able to access this.
I did 240 miles on my new van with ATC last week. It only activated once in the high winds whilst overtaking a slow coach on a dual carriageway. Did exactly what it says on the tin.

Runrig, how did you know it activated?

I felt it quite clearly.
I felt the caravan suck in towards the coach slightly, nothing serious, but almost instantaneously felt (and heard) the momentary drag as the ATC applied the caravan brakes. The caravan just pulled straight, didn't even deflect the other way. Nothing harsh, just felt like momentary extra drag, pulling the van straight.
Very reassuring.

Thank you, haven't towed an ATC equipped caravan as yet, so am interested to learn about it.
