...I would question dealers figures are they trying to reduce the offer? ,as it is still under warranty, maybe its time to walk away !!

Dealers do not get paid the "going rate" for warranty work,so be wary

I would get a second opinion on the damp found on your caravan, as it could be so you will except a lower offer on your trade in. We experience this when we traded our old caravan in for new caravan and we didnot question the damp recorded by the salesman
we were told that some work needed doing before they could re sell the caravan but our trade in caravan was sold the next day so I donot think the work on the damp ever took place.

The dealer has not reduced the offer but is doing the repair under warranty so there should be no problem.

Cannot beleive that you are still trying to do business with them. 50% damp .. Don't believe it. I think I would be talking to Baily not the Dealer. As for a Caravan turning up that was wrong well. Perhaps they sold yours to a higher bidder and then tried
to palm you off with something they had left.

If a caravan gets damp issues this is the manufacturer not the dealers fault. Provided the dealer acts reasonably I see no reaso  to take it out on them and here they seem to be.

Sorry I should of worded it better the dealership we are buying the lunar delta off is not the same as the one who tried to sale us the coachman the new dealership sent someone to check or van to make sure it was what we described that is when they found
the damp to be fair to bailey they never qubiled about doing warranty work the lunar dealership said they will do the work we are just shocked about the damp and how long you have to wait for new caravan sorry about misunderstanding

We talked to a guy who had been round the Baily factory he was not impressed. He noticed one guy run out of sealer while he was fixing parts together so he just missed it and carried on. If you have a look on other forums you are not the only one with  damp.
Eldis and Swift feature high on the list. Swift even have one refered to as a Konlikki. Wish you luck trying to buy your Caravan.

The sales records of the manufacturers are showing big increases and adding additional capacity is not easy so long waiting lists are the norm at the moment.
