Covers for caravan are they effective?
We have a breathable cover for a well known cover manufacture, we put the cover on in October until spring. We checked the van a few weeks ago and were surprised to find the outside of the van wet. We spoke to the cover manufacturers at the NEC last week
to be told it was condenstion!!!!!! My question is have other members experienced this "problem" and what is the general feeling about using a caravan cover. The caravan is very clean after removing the cover and we were told it reduces UV on the van. The
reason I am asking is that we are changing our van and are uncertain if to buy another cover.

We had a cover once, quality breathable but it caused dampness in the van resulting in mildew spots which were east enough to wipe off, but have never used one since. I guess the greater risk is if mildew/damp penetrates any fabric left in the van which
can`t simply be wiped off.0 -
I have purchased a top cover, just to keep the roof clean during the few winter months that we don't use the caravan. The problem I have found is that I don't like putting it on when the caravan is wet, it seems wrong to trap moisture under the cover.
So given the weather over the last few months it hasn't been used yet!!
