Truma heater - fan issues

Hello all!

I really need some help here. We have a compass liberty which we have been using often for the past 4 months. All has been good so far. Yesterday the fan on my heater stopped working on both settings manual and automatic. I stopped the heating all together and then put it back on. The fan started again for about 5 minutes and then stopped. We opened the back and cleaned it thinking it's just dust. Put it back on and the same thing happened. 

I just put the fan on again but this time without the heating and it seems to work. It's been on for about 30 minutes without stopping. 

If I do switch the heating on the fan will go for another 5 minutes and then stop.

Anybody any ideas?

    Sounds like a thermostat problem
