Either to suit warranty if in place or to suit your plans

If it's a new one, as near to the anniversary without going past. For warrenty purposes!

It's never "too early". As the previous replies have said it will depend on your warranty conditions. If it's an older van and out of warranty then get it done to suit yourself and dealer. We're having ours done later this month but I took delivery in Feb
a few years ago so even though warranty not now an issue continue to have it done at this time of year, plus it's not taking up caravanning time in season.

I get mine done during the quieter times (now). Don’t leave it too late if you think there may be a lot of work to be done. You wouldn’t want it to interfere with your regular usage.

When you get the reminder, from the place that serviced it last?

We purchased our second hand caravan in September and we spoke with the dealer the following year to arrange a service.  He advised us to wait until after our final trip in the October, we just give him a call mid-end October and drop if off.   We take out
what is not needed ie bedding, pillows, halogen oven awning, chairs etc, leave it with him and  He can do the service At his leisure as we not needing it until the following April.  He drains it all down for us, and we know it all good to go for next season.

We don't use a dealer, there isn't one nearby, and use a self employed chap and very good he is too.  He's constantly busy and it's best to book as far in advance as possible if you want to be out and about.  I know he's fully booked until about Easter and
possibly beyond, at that was in November.  Best time to have it serviced is when you don't want to use it and fit it in amid you're service provided schedule.  You can book it in and take it when it suits you both, however far ahead.

Our Swift warranty requires a service no more than two months before or one month after initial registration.  We picked it up on 31 August so ours is anytime from 1 July to 30 September.  Generally we have a two week holiday in mid to late August so normally have ours done in July.

I booked mine today, as its a new one I grudgingly get it done at the dealers so its booked for early March. I don't baulk at the cost, its more that I don't believe I get value for money, so after this service it will be my local independant who has a fantastic
    rep for servicing.

I keep my servicing to the aniversary of purchase, which will be laye June/early July. Like Dave FL2 i now use a local mobile agent, very good too albeit not that much cheaper than dealer it does save the hassle.

If you want a dealer to do it early in the year is not the best time as everybody else wants it done then and they are busy with new caravans going out so there is always a risk of them rushing it. Dealers may give a discount for service late in the year
when they are quiet, which may be the best time, but if you get it done then make sure the caravan is drained.
