Alarm bleeping on a Swift Conqueror.
Can anyone offer any advice on the following. When the caravan is parked on our drive with the electric cable plugged into the mains all is well. When we remove the electric charging cable the alarm bleeps constantly.
We have just spent Xmas and New Year in Devon having left the caravan in store down there from September and on arriving the owner told me that my Carbon monoxide detector needed a new battery as it was constantly bleeping. Is this the case and if so where
can I find the said battery?or is it just that it needs constant electric supply to keep it charged?
Any advice would be welcome... SG2

As above, I’d look at the user instructions for the Sargent. It may also be showing an error code.
Do you have a CO alarm? It’s not unreasonable to come to that conclusion, as an ‘outsider’ hearing a constant beeping (clearly no fire). Something is not happy and whatever it is is likely to be flashing a light as well. Try and find where the beep is coming
from and the cause may become apparent.0 -
Do you have an alarm fitted to to your van ? I had exactly the same problem, when the van was plugged into the elecric all was fine when no power conected there was a beep emitting from inside. It was the battery in the alarm system that was faulty, as
the van was still under warrantry the dealer supplied and fitted a new battery, they even came to my home to do it.I doubt if it's the co alarm as that would beep with or without being plugged in. I hope this helps.

Is your main battery OK or has it gone into 'Norwegian Blue' mode? If you always operate on EHU, it may be that any deficiency in your main battery has been obscured.

Thanks Guys, Yes it could be the alarm battery as I was nor aware I had a CO detector.I am having thew van serviced in a couple of weeks I will ask the engineer to have a looka and see for me,as looking at the alarm it looks a bit complex, I would feela
little unsure of disconnecting anything. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR ADVICE AND COMMENTS.SG20 -
Think you will find it is either the smoke detector or the caravan
alarm that is beeping as the battery in one or the other is low,
CO2 detectors have a fixed life of 'x 'years with a none replaceable battery. Have you removed the main liesure battery. ??

I believe you may be right as I do have an alarm fitted by Swift, I will get the battery on the alarm checked next week on the service and maybe that will throw up the answer. Thanks guys, great help and a Happy New Year to you all. SG2.

cYBERYACHT,
The caravan battery was replaced with a new one in September so I doubt it is that but will get it checked to see if it is charging correctly, but it has not failed to move the caravan mover and it would if it was not charging correctly, it seems more likely
to be the alarm battery, so hopefully not too big a job to correct.. Yvonne0
