Hi l wonder if anyone could give me their expert advice. I   have recently lost my partner and so having to sell our lovely 2014 caravan. I used to occasionally tow it but when it came to reversing he would take over so not confident on that one anyway l
think I would like to continue caravanning but not sure as it would be on my own. Anyway l thought if l kept my car (which we didn't tow with by the way) it is a Hyundai i30 1.4 petrol.  I have looked on the Clubs towing section and it is possible to tow with
it which surprised me. The cars max towing weight braked is 1200kgs.  But l wanted to keep below around 980kgs as I'm frightened l might damage my car. Anyway I've seen this little caravan on the website but it's 1992 is that asking for trouble?  with damp
problems?  I didn't want to spend a lot as l wanted to see how l got on with towing and actually going away on my own. I wanted to spend a max of £4000. Can anyone advice me. Sue

We has a  2 berth Wisp, bought new and kept for 10 years before trading in. It was the 1st new 'van we bought and was one of the best we have ever owned. Loved it.

Google Elddis wisp 1992 would not look at paying anymore than max £1500 for a caravan at this age.

Before buying any second hand caravan make sure you get a damp check. If that is in order make sure everything fitted works. As far as I know the Wisp has no problems particular to it and a good second hand one should be a decent buy.

Hi just to let everyone know l will be looking on my own. So not sure what to look for ?  I presume if you go in a van it will smell damp. A friend has one of those damp things  with prongs on it. But what else do l need to look out for. I did look at a
lunar Stella but on the CC tow match it said my car wasn't suitable which was a shame as l like the end kitchen.  Can anyone suggest a lightweight caravan. As I'm a bit confused as when it says mtplm does that mean everything in the caravan including cups
and saucepans etc. And also people and things in the car?  Because if that's the case I'll have to have a REALLY lightweight caravan. Sue
