I'm hoping someone out there can help us. We are in the highlands of scotland and our alde heating system keeps tripping. The console under the bench has 3 sets of switches and the one that says Water Heater/Air con keeps tripping. It isn't because it is
overheating it dosen't seem to reach its temperature set, the pump keeps circulating even when it's tripped.  Any Solutions would be gratefully received.

Could it be overload? Using it with just 1 kw and then with 2kw, supported by gas if needed ought to give hints in that regard.

I am assuming it is a circuit breaker rather than the van's Residual current device that is tripping?

The pump is a 12 volt device the heater mains powered so not directly linked which could explain the pump still operating. You could of course keep cosy using gas till it can be sorted.

I assume you are referring to a mains MCB. The good news should be that you can use your heater on gas. But, as ocsid suggests, try your Alde on a lower electric setting. Your MCB may be 10A and if the voltage of the mains drops low enough, you could be
drawing more than that amount of current on the higher setting.

Not sure but could it be that the header tank is low?

Never had the problem (so far) but just a suggestion

I had a similar issue but I had to disconnect the live feed on the boiler itself to reset the integral trip.

Thanks to you all and seasons greetings.

It seems to be behaving its self on 1kw at the moment supplimented by an electric fire so will hold out until our return.

    Happy New Year

How does it perform on gas?
