Draining water for winter
Apologies if this is answered someplace else, I just can't find it.
still new to this caravan caper (but enjoying it !)
got a 2015 Sprite in the summer, now in storage for the next few weeks. I have drained water off by running taps clear but what else should be done to protect the water system (pump, pipes, combi boiler) ?

Leave the taps open, and there should also be a drain to the water system in the van from the hot water tank. There are also ways to pump the system clear of water, but as we caravan all the year round I've not had to use it. Don't for get to leave your
fridge door open and either remove the shower pipe and head or at least lay it down in the bottom of the shower compartment. Would also suggest fitting covers over your fridge vents.0 -
On my previous 2006 Sprite Alpine 4, apart from all the above, there was a couple of red plugs (hot/cold) under the van in the pipe work, may be taps now. Pull the red stoppers out and lots of water came out that was still left in the pipes. None on my new
Compass though.0 -
I have a spair water inlett conection, where I have a short pipe, the other end goes on my 7.5 c.f.m. compresser, I open my caravan taps and apply low preasure from my compressor to blow all the water through
