We have a 2015 Sprite Major 6 caravan. I went out this morning to put something in the van went to lock it and it just will not lock! Tried a different key but still no luck! Also have tried lubricate in lock too. I have no idea what lock it is - doesn't
have a brand on it, so any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

There are a number of types of locks fitted to caravans.  If it is a Hartal door/lock take the lock off (gently ease off the red and green small round covers and the 1/4 moon shaped cover to expose the 3 screws), spray the workings with a silicon based lubricant
(not WD40) leave for a few minutes then try gain.  Finally if all else fails, and don't spend too much time/stress to get to this point, give your dealer a call and ask them for a replacement under waranty!

I found the Hartal lock on my van very stiff. Eventually I dismantled it and sanded down the shaft slightly with fine grade WOD paper.

We had a similar problem last year on our Sterling. We were on site and had an intermittent fault with locking and unlocking and got to the point where we didn't dare to lock it unless someone was inside in case it wouldn't unlock.

I posted on the excellent Swift Talk forum and they arranged for a new lock to be posted out to me with full instructions on fitting it. Full points to Swift.

But the OP's caravan is still under waranty so let the dealer take the strain!

So was mine - in fact it was only the second time out in a brand new van having picked it up just two months earlier.  It was a security issue, however, and we were on a site.  It was only a few minutes job and saved me the hassle of a trip to the dealer and it only cost my time.
