De-humidifier

Ours is stored away from home so we cannot use a powered version. But years ago we did try using the absorption type. They just kept filling up. Never any problems with damp or mould so came to the conclusion we were trying to dehumidify the world, as moist
air was just comming through the vents to replace what we had dried. Gave up and never any damp / mould problems. Although in winter we do try and put it away in as dry a condition as possible. For instance, don't use the shower on the last day, use site facilities.0 -
Air circulation is the better answer, the moisture content of the air in the van will nearly always be the same as that outside regardless of the products we use.
Remove moisture absorbant materials such as bedding, towels, mattresses etc and store at home if possible. Leave cupboards open remove as much from them as you can and make sure ventilation is not impeded.

I never used a cover and don’t fully understand the benefit of one. You need good ventilation to avoid condensation.
A dehumidifier may help where ventilation is restricted. You can usually pipe the water collected away (through the shower drain) but it will be “thrashing a dead horse” to a certain extent as more damp air will return.

Shut the door and forget about it is the best thing to do, the only time I`ve had signs of damp was when I used a good quality so called breathable cover though granted a cover is useful if under trees or the like. Seating I stand on edge/upright to keep
aired.0
