War Graves in local cemetaries
Our Church has been asked to put up a plaque to denote that there are war graves - can anyone tell me what a plaque looks like and how big? The PCC has to agree its placement etc etc. I have in my mind that it might be like the blue ones found on houses
that famous people lived in. Perhaps the size of a large dinner plate - but no idea! Any help would be appreciated!

Contact Commonwealth War Graves Commission who administer war graves - they may supply an appropriate sign. If there is only one or two graves concerned they may not deem it necessary. Signs are usually green I believe.

Green, and about 12" x 18". We often stay at Cloverfields in Buxton, and as you drive out of Buxton towards the site, you pass a church which has a plaque on the wall to let you know there are military graves inside. Personally, I didn't think you would
need permission to put a sign up up.0
