BA offices to go in Heathrow expansion
Apparantly, one consequence of the Heathrow third runway will be that British Airways' head office will have to be bulldozed.
Incredibly, despite their many years of canvassing for the new runway, BA didn't look closely enough at the plans to realise this. The annoying Willie Walsh was most annoyed when he finally realised, it seems. Such a shame
To rub salt in, Heathrow will have to charge its users extra fees to cover the cost of the expansion. This includes the compensation paid to those whose properties will be compulsorily purchased.
So, as the biggest user of Heathrow, BA will be paying millions in extra fees, partly to cover the cost of their own compensation.
You couldn't make it up!

We refuse to fly Bloody Awful since they lost our baggage the first time we took our daughter abroad. They refused to pay for clothes to dress a 3 month old baby. My Samsonite Oyster case that had served me well and been lost twice before in 20 years regular
travel was returned 3 weeks after getting home with locks smashed open, wheels and handles missing. No payment forthcoming.I was on the innaugural BA 747-400 flight out of Perth Western Australia. Only booked BA as all optiond were booked due to medical conference in Singapore. My Business Class ticket was £4800 to London. I boarded expecting to go upstairs on the upper deck
that all other operators had their 747-400 configured for. Wrong, downstairs immediately behind the engine. The CEO Colin Marshall was on board. I got the questionairre for the Club World cabin. My comments were not kind. CM came back for a chat and was told
until BA reconfigured aircraft then my PLC employer staff would no longer fly BA. He was shocked when I explained their penny pinching to put more economy seats upstairs. It was far Better On A Camel
