Went to see the film 'Sully' today about the flight that landed on the Hudson river. Brilliant film but it did knock me a little more than I thought it would, I fly a lot with work well worth watching though.

I think Malcolm might be winding us up a little bit
After all, no-one (other than a teenager) would be paying nearly £2k for car insurance, would they?
No-one would lose their no-claims bonus following a no-fault claim after a car park scratch, would they?
Everyone knows that you are charged at least 1.5% instantly for balance transfers to a credit card, don't they?
Nice one, Malcolm!

Well, we set off to fly to Wellesbourne Mountford (near Stratford on Avon) today.
As we passed Cosford, we could see Wolvehampton Halfpenny Green airfield in the distance. We still had about half an hour of flying to do.
My mate mentioned that he had a toilet urge and of course, that set me off too. So we changed plans and went into Wolverhampton. And it was a delightful (and very busy) little airfield.
What a dull and overcast day though. We got back to base just after the sun set, refuelled and put the aircraft away in the dark.
Another great day!

HELP! ,the g/kids have arrived for an overnighter.
Do I really want reveille at 06.00 hrs?
I dare say that I will likely survive the onslaught but please bear that in mind, should you see me running down the road screaming my head off.
AAAAARGGGGHHH!

Write your comments here...I paid a similar amount last year and I went through compare the market and this was the cheapest quote. It is double the premium because of business use.

Today the caravan is getting a quick clean brought it back from storage for our trip next week, as the roads were wet the front was filthy !
Are you going for the X-Mas lights? Have a good time up there. Have you been before? If this weather continues the van will be just as dirty when you get to the site. I know full well as ours was when we got here.

Well I made it through the children's party , ( didn't realise kids made that much noise), and yes there is a Santa ,I saw him
,he landed his sleigh on the village hall roof and then came in and gave all the children presents , but it's nice to all the children
enjoying themselves and getting in the Christmas mood .......quite a bit of jelly left over ,so it will be jelly in my lunch box all week,

Bit cooler today with no sunshine. Drove over to Kirkby Lonsdale, walked along the river from the Devil's Bridge to the Radical Steps, up to Ruskin View and along the terrace, then back into the town. Visited the X-Mas market but it was a disappointment
really with only about 20 stalls, most selling food or drink. After lunch we had a walk up above the Lune to High Casterton and back, looking at all the smart houses up that way.0 -

I'm no insurance expert but are you confusing business use with commercial use. I have business use for travelling the country for meetings etc and my insurance is under £400 per year. Delivering items could be commercial like taxi insurance.

Sounds like you had a good time Helen. The church where we were married has a Christmas tree festival every year and we took the grandchildren last year so we could show them where we got married. We couldnt decide which we liked best as they were all so
good so we all voted for a different one.0 -
We had a brilliant evening at Anglesey Abbey Winter lights this evening. It was great to get all the family (apart from the Irish contingent)
together. The lights were magnificent. Christmas has begun.0 -
Thanks Millie and H&T looking forward to it. We've not been away over Christmas before but with the youngest being in Malta now and the eldest not coming up until the few days between Christmas and New Year we thought why not.

Are you actually away for Christmas Tammy? We have never done that but sometimes think about it.

We fly back on Christmas night, so arrive in UK on Boxing day morning Millie. We will be home late morning hopefully. First time I've been away for Christmas, OH has spent a few Christmases away from home but not by choice.
Glad you had a good time tonight, it sounds lovely and to have most of your family round you aswell.

Woke up to frost and painful back, too much leaf clearing yesterday. Having a lie in with the cat and one of the dogs, OH has gone fishing, think I'll just do some easy jobs today.
Hope the trip goes well TammyG, have a good time.

We are off to Castleton Millie, meeting youngest son and his girlfriend for an early Christmas . The Christmas lights in the village are supposed to be very good. I've got lots of lights to decorate the caravan too.
